Time to red neck up on y'all!

So last night was just wicked! I cleaned out my basement storage and found all this wood and was thinking it would be a great idea to burn it all and not deal with it at the dump. Then I was getting hungry, as usual. So I put two and two together and boom, why not have a red neck BBQ (pot luck style) up at the river and burn all this stuff. So some others were down and we went up to the river and cooked some meat and ate some food and shot a gun. We are thinking Thursday is going to be the day for this, cooking meat over fire is a unreal idea. Here are the pics, enjoy. I got to go, I am riding baker today.
Hum, this guys last name must be Federau.
Will killing a s'more, much like he is going to kill road nationals next week.
You know the fire is good when the parks guy is warning you to keep it under control

Loving it!

So the past weeks have just been unreal! Just filled with biking, kayaking, skiing, tea pot challenge, yoga, push up pyramid and work. Thats right I got a job working at the falls golf resort, my bike ride into work is like 18km, but I found a short cut up the paved golf cart path and it knocks 1km of the distance plus its like riding wicked single track through the woods on your road bike. I even get to freak out the golfers once and a while. So if anyone wants to go golfing I can get a serious discount for anyone who wants to golf with me, and I kind of want to bust out some happy gilmore! The high light of the week must have been When Saturday when we did a river run first thing and I found a I pod at the put in then I tore the river a new one then went home for 20min and then rode my road bike to baker, it was like 203km and I blew up huge on the climb and got worked then had to ride a nasty head wind all the way home. I did nothing on Sunday. On monday I did the push up pyramid to 10 and back down, and in about 20min I am going out to do the teapot challenge. Thursday night we are going to have a high class redneck party up at the river where we are going to burn stuff and cook meat and I am going to bring my gun, yeee haw! No serious its going to be a pot luck style up at tamihi at 7. so bring some food and anything you need burned, I found a bunch of wood that I am going to light a blaze. I am then going to ride baker again on Friday, but this time I am going to rest up a bit more and I am going to kill it! So here are some photos of the past little while and this is why I live in the best place ever.

Best day ever!

This past weekend was one for the books. So Saturday I had to drive Kurt to the airport, I got back at 3pm and then meet Craig, Jaz, Jordan, and Sophie at the river and we ran Tamihi to Pointa Vista and I was on fire, good thing we were in the water cause I had to put out the flame that was coming off my boat. No serious, the water is massive right now, almost massive as my “which way to the beach” pipes. Anyhow I stayed upright and never even had to use my bomber roll, and I had so much fun! Then right at pointa vista there is this sweet wave that we were surfing, well Craig was surfing it, I was just padding into it and getting worked and then rolling up down river a bit. I must have rolled up like 10 times. Then right after that I went home meet Nathan and we had one crazy adventure in mind.

The plan was to pack all the overnight camping stuff and all our ski stuff and camp and ski on mt Cheam. So we drove up as high as we could before we ran into snow. Then we hiked up to spoon lake where we set up camp. Hiking with camping and skiing stuff is quite hard it felt like I had full sized adult in my pack. Then we cooked up some food and hit the sack. The tent was set up on like 1meter of snow. In the morning we woke up and everything was covered in frost and it was uber cold out. So we drank some espresso and acted like giddy school girls then strapped ski stuff to our backs and started hiking up the foggy mountain. Then like ¾ ways up we hiked out of the fog and all you could see was the biggest mountain peaks and fog, it was so beautiful, I have never seen anything so amazing. We got to the top and chilled for a bit. It was cooking hot so I took off my shirt and dried it over my skis and just chilled I had my shirt off for like 20 min and today I am so burnt. Then after some PB and J's we put on the skis and hit all this untouched snow and it was unreal! Then we packed up camp and did some runs on this other area. We were out for like 6hrs in the unreal sunshine, what a day! My face is so red from the sun and snow. I want to go again. The snow is melting fast too. I would like to ski after June 21st so that I can say I skied in all 4 seasons, plus I have skied 49days this year and 50 days would be quite sweet. One might say unreal!

Kurt, how was Heathrow? So I was skiing down all this untouched snow and I was like Hum Kurt is probably in security at Heathrow right now. Oh mama see ta!
Yeah, Bring it!!!!!
Camping with uncle dawg on tons of snow.
so this is the top, on the far left is Slesse and Baker on the far right. Under all the cloud is the Chilliwack river valley, the very river valley where Kayaking took place the day before.
This is near the top and it was just unreal! we were at the top at 10am.
this is like half way down, what a day! unreal!

Chilliwack sucks, theres nothing to do?

The weekend was unreal! Saturday a bunch of us were going to go hiking up mt Cheam but there was so much snow that we could only park 2.5km from the real mt Cheam parking lot. Then we all hiked up to spoon lake and busted out the crazy carpets and let it rip. Then Sunday I played some more squash vs Mr Rodgers and it was definitely Mr Rodgers neighborhood, the best I could do was 9-6. But thats much better then the 9-2 the time before. Then after the Squash I hit up the Vedder mt for some of the best mt biking ever, Vedder is just unreal! Then Monday Nathan called in sick to work while I paddled on the lake and after that we strapped skis to our backs and went up mt Cheam for revenge. Hiking in ski boots is so hard, plus my feet now have some hard man style blisters on them. Skiing in June! Mama se ta! Ok the rain has stopped, I better go into work. Later
